State Agencies Team Up to Collect School Supplies for Students in Storm-Ravaged Robeson County

“The students need our help and we want to assist them in getting back on their feet as quickly as possible,” said Paula Woodhouse, OSHR’s interim director. “So we teamed up with the commission to collect essential school supplies. I was impressed with the amount of donation we received; it shows how supportive state employees are toward their fellow North Carolinians.”

North Carolina’s Office of State Human Resources Wins National Awards for Leadership and HR Communications

OSHR received two prestigious awards from the National Association of State Personnel Executives (NASPE) this week. OSHR Director C. Neal Alexander, Jr. received the Eugene H. Rooney, Jr. Award for HR leadership and Deputy Director Paula Woodhouse accepted the Eva N. Santos Communications Award for OSHR’s newsletter The Resource, which received recognition for its excellence in state government HR communications.
