Employee Testimonials
To mark the third anniversary of Executive Order 92: Employment First for North Carolinians with Disabilities, the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) collaborated with state agencies to produce a series of videos and messages featuring state employees with disabilities, as well as those who support them. This includes Governor Roy Cooper, who has stepped up efforts to ensure that state workplaces are welcoming and inclusive of people with disabilities.
Learn from our colleagues about their experiences of being supported by the State and their employing agencies to be successful and continue their careers. Through use of assistive technology, flexible scheduling and other means, the State of North Carolina strives to empower employees with disabilities to experience challenging, integrated work at fair wages.
