
Amar Majmundar
Amar Majmundar is policy director for the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources (OSHR). As a senior advisor to Director Meyer, Amar’s work focuses on policy review and development, aimed at ensuring North Carolina’s public employees are able to provide critical, core services to the state and its citizens. As a strategic collaborator, Amar’s efforts advance the collective efforts of making North Carolina an employer of choice.
Before joining OSHR, Amar was a primary litigator with the N.C. Department of Justice, where he headed up the Litigation Division in defense of the state, its laws, and its employees.
Amar earned a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Rochester.
He lives in Cary with his wife and two sons.
