Achievement
On July 1, 2025, the State of North Carolina officially launched access to LinkedIn Learning for state employees. LinkedIn Learning is an award-winning industry leader in online training, with a digital library of over 20,000 courses covering a wide range of technical, business, software, and creative topics.
“While at first glance this sounds simple, but it was incredibly complex,” said Meribel Briggs, Communications Intern, North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT). “There were many security considerations, group configurations to manage career pathing at an agency level, and integrations to this cloud-based library that maintains a transcript in our learning management system.”
“We’re honored to receive the Best of North Carolina IT Award for our LinkedIn Learning implementation,” said Kevin Lavoie, information technology manager, OSHR. “This recognition highlights the dedication and teamwork that went into making learning more accessible, relevant, and impactful across the State of North Carolina.”
IT professionals are vital to keep the digital world running. As the state advances in making public service more efficient and effective, OSHR is proud to recognize the contributions of our IT team in driving these improvements.
