On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the State of North Carolina launched Workday as its human capital management (HCM) platform.In Phase I, Workday will allow the State of North Carolina to streamline its recruitment, applicant tracking, employee onboarding and offboarding, position description management, and organizational charts in one, centralized location. Additionally, jobseekers will benefit from a faster, simpler application process and improved communication with hiring managers.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, 34 state employees became certified public managers. The North Carolina Certified Public Manager® (CPM) Program is a nationally accredited, 300-hour curriculum developed to enhance the leadership skills of public servants.

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, community members from across Durham came together for We Got You, Durham. This free public event was hosted by Senator Natalie Murdock (District 20) and Representative Zack Hawkins (District 31) at the Boys and Girls Club of Durham and Orange Counties.
This morning, three new commissioners took their oaths before the commencement of the September SHRC meeting.Following the swearing-in by Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Paul Ridgeway, Acting Commissioner Tye Vaught called the meeting to order. Moments later, State Human Resources Director Staci Meyer welcomed the newest Commissioners and gave her ‘Director’s Report,’ offering an overview of the agency’s accomplishments since the last meeting, and a look at what’s on the horizon.

On September 4, N.C. State Human Resources Director Staci Meyer accompanied Governor Joshua Stein to State Employees Association of N.C. (SEANC)’s annual convention in Greensboro, N.C.Speaking to a packed house, Director Meyer thanked state employees for the work they do to offer indispensable services to North Carolina. The Director also spoke of the important work that the N.C. Office of State Human Resources is doing to elevate public service, and make our state’s HR system easier, faster, and better.
OSHR was proud to participate in the 2025 Governor's School Supply Drive and deliver donations from OSHR staff to the students of Robbinsville High School in Graham County, North Carolina.State Human Resources Director Staci Meyer and OSHR Chief of Staff Mary Penny Kelley visited the school in August to hand out the supplies and show students and teachers support from our state government.
