Creating a New Account with Temporary Solutions

What is an agency customer?

Temporary Solutions proudly serves over 200 active State Agency customers. State Agencies determine what constitutes as a customer. In some small State Agencies, there is only one customer – the Agency itself.  Most State Agencies have multiple Temporary Solutions customers, typically the divisions, programs and/or work units within that Agency that employ temporaries through Temporary Solutions.

How are agency customers organized within Temporary Solutions?

Each agency that employs temporaries through Temporary Solutions has a “parent” organizational unit with Temporary Solutions.  Each Temporary Solutions customer within that agency has a “child” organizational unit assigned to that parent.

Please see our TS Organizational Units page for a complete list of Temporary Solutions organizational units.

Creating a New Account with Temporary Solutions

Many agencies have policies and procedures regarding the use of any purchased service, including Temporary Solutions. Divisions, programs and work units interested in employing temporaries through Temporary Solutions for the first time should consult their agency’s HR Division before contacting us to create a new account.  Temporary Solutions enjoys excellent working relationships with each state agency, and adhering to their specific internal requirements for the use of our service is one of our top priorities.

With your agency’s approval to create a new account with Temporary Solutions, please contact our Finance Section at tsfinance@nc.gov to request one. We will ask for the name of the division, program or work unit as well as the name and contact information of a billing contact. Your billing contact will be the primary point of contact for our Finance Section. They will have access to your Temporary Solutions invoices and receive all financial account notifications, including past due notices.

Using the account information you provide, we will work with the Office of State Controller to create a new Temporary Solutions organizational unit for the account. Once the organizational unit is established, we will add your account to our Job Order Portal so you can begin submitting job orders for hires.  We will also create your account in QuickBooks and assign any temporaries you hire to your new organizational unit within our organizational structure. The process of setting up a new account with Temporary Solutions typically takes 7-10 business days.
