Terrance Daniels

N.C. Department of Administration (DOA)

"The supportive environment and the abundance of professional development opportunities provided a solid foundation for advancing my career within NC State Government. My tenure as a temporary employee enabled me to make significant contributions and gain valuable experience, paving the way for my transition to a full-time position with the NC Department of Administration Human Resources Division. Temporary positions offer hands-on experience in professional environments, enable exploration of diverse aspects of public service, and help build a versatile skill sets".

N.C. Office of State Human Resources (OSHR)

"I have found that working as a temporary employee has allowed me flexibility in my schedule that other roles might not have allowed for. As a result, I can maintain a regular "day-job", while also exploring other interests. Likewise, I have been able to explore different "government jobs" at various agencies by taking temporary roles. I know that for some, a temporary role can serve as a "foot-in-the-door" to a permanent job within State Government as well".

N.C. Department of Adult Correction (DAC)

"Temporary Solutions provided me the opportunity over 20 years ago to get my foot in the door with state government. Coming straight out of graduate school I found it challenging to be screened in as a qualified candidate for the permanent state government positions. A friend from grad school told me about Temporary Solutions so I applied with them and began as temp administrative assistant with the N.C. Division of Emergency Management in 2005. That opportunity led to a permanent position with NCEM in 2006 as a grants manager. Since then, I've had the good fortune to work with so many incredible people throughout all of state government as my career advanced to my current position of Senior Deputy Secretary for Organizational Performance at the NC Department of Adult Correction. Temporary Solutions opened the door for me into a career with state government, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting a state government career".
