Class Concept
Responsible for IT technical strategy as the organization's top design resource. Oversees the actions of other architects and ensures the alignment of the State's mission, strategy and processes to the IT strategy using a variety of architectural models. Expands the use of technology as a strategic enabler of goals and objectives. Develops policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of IT within all organizations. Responsible for the development of business architecture, delivering business outcomes, supporting projects, and supporting digital innovation.
Recruitment Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of IT governance and operations.
Thorough knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
Thorough knowledge of the business methodologies for which the enterprise architecture is being developed.
Ability to perform stakeholder management and risk management enterprise projects.
Working knowledge of financial modeling as it pertains to IT investment.
Interpersonal and leadership skills - leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
Working knowledge of agile development methodologies, architectures, technologies, tools and techniques, and network infrastructures as well as scalability / performance analysis of enterprise software and hardware solutions.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in all areas of information technology architectural components, interfaces and their applications or related work; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of progressive experience in all areas of information technology architectural components, interfaces and their applications or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
