Designs and builds web pages to meet the department's online offerings, strategies, and goals for external communications. Uses a variety of graphics software and tools. Participates in the design and development of user interface features. May perform user research and usability testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good working knowledge of the main web design applications and social media platforms.
Experience in web content management and web user interface/creative design.
An understanding of legislation and guidelines for website accessibility.
Evidence of good creative and technical skills through a portfolio of past work samples.
Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to work.
Working knowledge of basic website design and content administration.
Willingness to keep up to date with the fast-paced changes in technology and software.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in web development/design, digital design, computer programming, or related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate degree in web development/design, digital design, computer programming and one year of experience related to the design and development of websites; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in the field of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
