This is journey level training, consultative, and technical work in technical trade program areas such as equipment and vehicle repair, nuclear reactor and density, and construction concrete. Work requires the development, presentation, and evaluation of training programs and/or consultation on technical areas of work. Employees in the positions are normally an expert or master in the technical field in which they are providing instruction or training. Positions provide training, consultation, and technical work in entry level trade specialties or technical areas and specialties with various functional components.
Recruitment Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of training principles and techniques.
Working knowledge of the capabilities and use of audio/visual aids and other training tools and resources.
May require considerable knowledge of nuclear reactor operations and equipment repair, operation, and maintenance and theory or advanced skill in operating a nuclear reactor.
May also require skill to setup, operate and maintain of materials testing devices equipment repair instruments and training aids.
Ability to organize, develop and coordinate training activities.
Ability to evaluate student learning
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Minimum Education and Experience
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five years of progressive experience in the specific functional area or work field taught; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
