This is executive leadership over the operations of a large state operated hospital. Work may include ensuring patient safety, maintaining financial health and stability, promoting quality of healthcare, promoting patient satisfaction, strategic planning, policies and procedures, compliance, building community relationships while adhering to Federal regulations, state statues, department polices, relevant certification agencies, and boards and groups. Position directs and leads all organizational programs and operations within the hospital and is the final decision authority on all personnel functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of population service needs and standards for service delivery
Thorough knowledge of accreditation standards and regulations in the hospital setting
Thorough knowledge of risk management and quality assurance in the hospital setting
Skills in long-range strategic planning to include hospital goals, financial, project, and workforce planning
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders
Ability to direct a broad range of programs and services and interdisciplinary staff
Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in hospital administration and seven years of experience in progressively responsible hospital administration, preferable in a setting similar to the position filled; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
