OSHR offers online and in-person training on various EEO related topics. Modules offer insightful content and engaging and interactive sessions. Courses are designed to provide an introduction to and overview of policies, appropriate workplace behavior, best practices and more, and aid in achieving greater awareness and understanding through scenario-based experiential learning.

Course Descriptions
(Two-Part Training, 2 Hours Each)
This training will underscore how diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace require belonging to be optimal. The training will address how belonging is linked to employee engagement, employee relations, job performance, job satisfaction, health and wellness, turnover, and more and will include tips on how to assess and foster “belongingness” among colleagues and in work teams. This module also covers toxic work environments, harassment, the impact of “not belonging” on marginalized groups, workplace violence, and how belonging mitigates performance issues, grievances, turnover, and even greater consequences of not belonging.
(2.5 Hours)
This training targets how to cultivate a culture of respect, identify causes of and obstacles to workplace respect, and behaviors and workstyles that could challenge it. Topics include behavior types, consequences of disrespect, the toxic workplace, incivility, bullying, harassment, and how the respectful treatment of employees and colleagues strengthens work culture, mitigates grievances, builds employee engagement, and bolsters job satisfaction.
(2 Hours)
This training uses actionable guidance to focus on the pivotal role managers and employees have in strengthening EEO initiatives. It provides practical instruction on creating greater awareness (sensitivity) of the experiences and needs of others, the significance of emotional intelligent (EQ), and what is required to become truly inclusive as team members and leaders. Relatable scenarios and exercises are implemented in this module.
(6 Hours, In-Person)
This course will focus on our ability to understand, appreciate, communicate and effectively interact with people across cultures. It is designed to guide individuals and teams on how to: become more culturally competent; develop positive attitudes toward cultural differences; and become more aware of one’s own world view in fostering engagement, respect, belonging and success. This interactive module will include foundational material that addresses insular thinking and perspectives, and implicit bias. Cultural awareness, cultural blindness, cultural sensitivity, empathy and their impact on intercultural-interpersonal relationships will also be addressed. Attendees will gain an understanding of how cultural competence equips us to leverage diverse backgrounds, experiences and differences to create stronger, more inclusive and innovative teams.

This course examines workplace behavior and interpersonal relations with a focus on inclusive communication skills and respect. Attendees will gain an understanding of how workplace experience is impacted by our behavior, experiences, collaborations, and address the importance of accountability. The session will include a summary of simple ways to recognize and mitigate communication and behavior challenges to help foster a welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and engaged work environment.
