State Employees and Retirees are encouraged to take advantage of the 2016 Wellness & Safety Expo!
Join us Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Jim Graham Building at the NC State Fairgrounds for a wide variety of wellness, health, and safety information. Through demonstrations, exhibits, screenings, and safety simulations 150+ exhibitors will provide information on health care, fitness, nutrition, financial wellness, hands-only CPR, fire extinguisher training, and driver safety. From celebrity chefs creating healthy foods that tantalize the taste buds to crash simulators setup in the Expo’s indoor Safety City, there will be something for everyone!

Attendees are also asked to give back at Expo:
- Bring two non-perishable food items for donation to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina so that hungry people will be fed!
- Donate blood through the American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Expo so that lives can be saved! The need is urgent! Donors can schedule an appointment to give the gift of life at redcrossblood.org using the Sponsor Code "EXPO." The Expo is open to ALL current and retired state employees and their families. With this event only scheduled every other year, it is something you don’t want to miss!
The Murphy House Restaurant will also be serving some requested healthy choices, along with their well-known items, for breakfast and lunch for anyone needing to satisfy their appetite throughout the day.
