This handbook for supervisors, provide general information regarding workers’ compensation law as specified in NC General Statutes Chapter 97, the North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act. The handbook instructs supervisors on how to report and file a claim and provides an explanation of available benefits when they have suffered an injury on the job or contracted an occupational disease. This document also includes a general explanation of workers’ compensation related rights and duties of the employee and employer.
