North Carolina Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NCVOAD)
North Carolina Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is an affiliate of National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD). National VOAD, an association of organizations that mitigates and alleviates the impact of disasters, provides a forum promoting cooperation, communication, coordination and collaboration; and fosters more effective delivery of services to communities affected by disaster.
VolunteerNC
Created in 1994, the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service promotes service and volunteering to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement in North Carolina. The Commission oversees the state AmeriCorps programs, disaster volunteers and donations, the Governor's Page Program, the Governor's Volunteer Awards and promotes volunteer initiatives.
