A tireless champion of disability rights, Harkin will address disability employment and how the public sector may model North Carolina’s efforts to be more welcoming and inclusive of individuals with disabilities in the state government workplace.

The State of North Carolina Virtual Career Expo exceeded expectations on Tuesday, with 3,121 registrants participating in a total of 31,129 chats with state agency and University System recruiters in 35 career- or agency-specific booths. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., recruiters averaged 450 chats with jobseekers interested in public service careers with the State of North Carolina.

The State of North Carolina Virtual Career Expo will encourage jobseekers to consider careers in state government from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday during this online recruitment event. The virtual format will allow attendees to connect via computer, tablet or smartphone with recruiters from state agencies and the University System.
