Thirty-nine state employees from 10 state agencies and the UNC Systems Office will be honored with Governor’s Awards for Excellence at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, during a virtual online ceremony. Viewers may register to watch the program through the Office of State Human Resources’ YouTube channel and receive a reminder alert before it begins.
Public sector employees from state agencies and local government will be recognized today for completing the rigorous North Carolina Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM) during an informal virtual ceremony led by the Talent Management Division of the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR).
Governor Roy Cooper has proclaimed October as Disability Employment Awareness Month, stressing the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities have full access to employment and community involvement during the national recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The second annual State of North Carolina Virtual Career Expo will welcome jobseekers interested in careers in state government from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28. The online format will allow attendees to connect via computer, tablet or smartphone with recruiters from more than two dozen state agencies and the UNC System from the convenience and safety of their own home. E. Benjamin (Ben) Money, Deputy Secretary for Health Services at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, today became the first recipient of the new Distinguished OSHR Partnership Award from the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources.
Seventeen state employees with 45 years of public service have been honored with the 2021 Richard Caswell Award.
The North Carolina Office of State Human Resources will partner with other state agencies in a national Disability Virtual Career Fair on March 23.
As part of an ongoing commitment to Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order No. 92: Employment First for North Carolinians with Disabilities, the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources will partner with other state agencies to promote state government career opportunities.
