Public sector employees from state agencies and public institutions will be recognized today for completing the rigorous North Carolina Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM) during the program’s commencement ceremony. The graduation will begin at 3 p.m. in Daniels Auditorium within the NC Museum of History with a reception immediately to follow to celebrate the 49-member cohort of 2023 graduates. Deputy Secretary William Lassiter will join the Office of State Human Resources in celebrating these graduates as the ceremony’s keynote speaker.

State Human Resources Director Barbara Gibson will visit Thomasville Primary School at 10:30 a.m. on September 26 to donate school supplies for Thomasville City Schools. Thomasville City Schools, a small school district outside of High Point, serves just over 2,000 students, according to the district’s website.Employees from the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources collected 32 boxes of requested school supplies to donate to Thomasville City Schools. Supplies included spiral notebooks, paper, crayons, pencils, cleaning supplies, facial tissues and other needed items.
