A 2-day Military Job Fair is taking place at Fort Bragg next week.
The North Carolina Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) will be working together with Department of Public Safety (DPS) staff in recruiting for correctional officers, nurses and food service officers.
Governor Pat McCrory has made hiring veterans a top priority. "Veterans and transitioning military personnel offer a wealth of talent and the State of North Carolina wants to tap into that talent," said Neal Alexander, Director of OSHR. "They have the knowledge, skills and abilities to drive results."
DPS will be conducting interviews and making contingent offers for correctional officer I & II positions for both days.

Career readiness coaches, health services recruiter and dieticians will be available to speak about career advancement opportunities within North Carolina State Government.
Applicants can also learn more about the apprenticeship program for veterans and non-veterans. Veterans have the option to use military education benefits as supplemental tax free income within the program.
