Worksite Wellness State of North Carolina Lunch and Learn Events

Join these virtual events monthly for easy ways to improve your mental and physical health. Discover nutritious recipes, get the inside scoop on topical health and safety issues, and learn more about taking care of your mind, not just your body, in these valuable sessions. 

How To Sign Up

There are two ways to attend a Wellness Webinar: 

  • Click "Register" and complete the form at the link to receive reminder emails about the webinar of your choice. These emails will include a link to join the event.
  • Avoid receiving reminder emails by attending without registering. Just click "Join" at the time of the webinar of your choice below.

Can't attend a webinar live? No problem. We post Wellness Webinar recordings in our "On-Demand" section within a few days of the event.

Need accommodation during a webinar? If you are deaf or hard of hearing, resources are available to make Worksite Wellness program accessible. Please email ncflex@nc.gov to request accommodation services. To account for scheduling and booking constraints, all requests must be made at least 14 days before an event.

Foods that fight inflammation, promote a healthy microbiome and reinforce healthy dietary habits can contribute to our overall brain health by decreasing the risk for depression and much more. Register for this free, statewide Worksite Wellness Lunch and Learn with Katie Godin, RD, LDN from LifeStyle Medical Center to learn about changes you can make to eat more brain-boosting foods and positively affect your mental health.

After a brief presentation, Katie will demonstrate how to make one of her favorite make-ahead breakfast recipes, blueberry banana oatmeal bake and you'll learn why some of the ingredients are good for your mind. The recipe will be shared with all who register, so don't miss out.

May 20, 2025: Move More in May - Variety and Creativity in Movement

Sometimes the biggest barrier to regular exercise is a mental blockwe have a negative perception of exercise because of one bad experience or we get bored with the same routine over an extended period. Creativity and variety can solve those problems! We benefit in different ways from different types of movement, and we can even make daily physical activity fun. 

Sign up for this free Worksite Wellness Lunch and Learn with Katie Godin, RD, LDN from LifeStyle Medical Centers and get motivated to break through those activity barriers while reviewing different types of movement and their benefits. After the presentation, Katie will demonstrate a few beginner strength training exercises and share helpful handouts for you to use and follow along.
