June 20, 2023: MIND Diet

MIND Diet - How dietary and lifestyle modifications can assist with decreasing the rate of cognitive decline. According to research, the Mediterranean Diet and DASH diet have been associated with the preservation of cognitive function. Katie Godin, RD, LDN, from LifeStyle Medical Center will be discussing how new research on the combination of these two diets termed "MIND Diet" can have powerful effects on aging healthy and slowing the progression of cognitive decline.
After her presentation, Godin will demonstrate how to make a Kale Kimchi Salad that pairs perfectly with any main dish!

July 25, 2023: Hydration

Now that Summer is officially upon us, there is no better time to talk about adequate hydration! Katie Godin, RD, LDN, from LifeStyle Medical Center will be discussing the overall importance hydration has on our bodies as well as how to properly maintain adequate hydration status, especially throughout the hot summer months.
After her presentation, Godin will then be demonstrating how to make a delicious Green Smoothie that will provide a burst of nutrients and flavor to help quench thirst and taste buds!
