Each temporary employee on assignment through Temporary Solutions works for an agency employer, which is a Division or work unit of a state agency, office, or university. Your agency employer determines specifics about your work assignment, such as:
- When a temporary staffing need exists
- Who and when to interview, hire, and separate
- Work location, including whether the position will be on-site, remote, or hybrid
- Your hourly rate, including any rate adjustments
- Length of assignment. Temporary employment is limited to 11 consecutive months without an approved exception.
- Work schedule
- Your supervisor
- Equipment and training requirements
- General workplace rules
Agency employers may conduct reference and/or background checks as part of their recruitment and selection process.
The Role of Temporary Solutions

- Collaborative recruitment strategies
- Job seeker consultations
- Vacant position posting and application screening
- Classification and compensation consultations
- Digital onboarding
- Data management, reporting and analysis
